This piece of South American pottery is handcrafted using a technique that dates back over five centuries. Not only is this bold yet understated piece of stoneware chic, it is suited to oven and microwave use. What makes this piece so unique is that it is unglazed. Instead the artisans meticulously hand-burnish them. If used for cooking, it is recommended to rinse the bowl first and place it in a 390 degree oven filled halfway with water for half an hour. No dishwasher use. Avoid tough abrasives.
